Finding a voice: Teen Summit gives Black teens a space to discuss experiences at metro area schools
Having dealt with racism all his life he wanted to do something when his youngest son was threatened to be killed and called the n word on a city bus. Being a teacher as well he began to ask the African American youth how they felt about their experiences. Working to find solutions to racism directed toward African American youth in Denver, Stokes organized a summit.
